    AI Visibility Checker collects no personal data whatsoever. All analysis runs entirely within your browser on the page you are visiting. No data is transmitted to any server operated by Manuel Technologies.
  

1. What data we collect

AI Visibility Checker collects no personal data from users. Specifically, we do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
Browsing history or lists of pages visited
Cookies, device identifiers, or fingerprints
IP addresses or location data
Authentication credentials of any kind
Financial or payment information
Health or demographic information
Page content, text, or images from pages you visit

The extension reads technical signals from the active page's DOM (schema markup, meta tags, heading structure, word count, and similar on-page signals) solely to compute an AI visibility score. This analysis happens entirely within your browser. None of this data is stored, transmitted, or shared.

2. How data is used

The technical signals read from the active page are used solely to calculate and display an AI visibility score and recommended fixes within the extension popup. Specifically:

Schema markup (JSON-LD scripts) is parsed locally to check for entity types like Organization, FAQPage, and Person.
Meta tags (Open Graph, canonical, description) are read to assess brand entity signals.
Page text and structure (headings, word count, link patterns) are analysed to score content depth and E-E-A-T signals.
Audit results (score and fixes) are cached temporarily in chrome.storage.local so the popup displays instantly on repeat opens of the same tab.

No data is used for advertising, profiling, analytics, machine learning, or any purpose beyond displaying the GEO audit result to the user.

3. How data is stored

All data is stored exclusively on the user's own device using chrome.storage.local. No data is stored on any server operated by Manuel Technologies or any third party.

Audit results (score and fixes for the current page) are cached per browser tab and cleared automatically when the tab is closed or navigated away from.
No audit history, no user profiles, and no cross-session data is stored.

Uninstalling the extension permanently removes all locally stored data.

4. Who data is shared with

AI Visibility Checker shares no data with any third party, without exception.

The extension makes no network requests of any kind. All processing is entirely local within the browser. No URLs, page content, scores, or any other data are sent to Manuel Technologies, Google, or any other party.

5. Permissions used and why

Permission	Why it is needed
activeTab	To access the DOM of the page the user is currently viewing and read its technical signals (schema, meta tags, headings, content) for the GEO audit. Access is granted only when the user clicks the extension icon.
scripting	To inject the auditor content script into the active tab when the user opens the popup. This script reads on-page signals and computes the AI visibility score entirely within the browser. No data leaves the browser as a result of this script.
storage	To cache the audit result in chrome.storage.local so the popup can display the score instantly when reopened on the same tab, without re-running the full analysis. All cached data is scoped to the tab and cleared when the tab closes.

6. Third-party services

AI Visibility Checker uses no third-party services. The extension contains no analytics, no advertising networks, no crash reporting, no CDN-loaded scripts, no remote code, and no telemetry of any kind. All code is bundled within the extension package.

7. Children's privacy

AI Visibility Checker is a technical SEO tool intended for use by web professionals and adults. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
